Na'uzubillah...
Uh, I remembered a clear instruction our beloved Prophet
( peace be upon him )
once said :
" Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should maintain good relation with his kindred. "
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
How mind boggling is this.
To know that as I announced that I believe in Him
one of the things that He asked me to do is
to maintain good relations with His creations
called kindred, right?
Hmmmmm...
But then, I got curious.
Who are this kindred?
Who are these people whom my beloved Prophet
( peace be upon him )
has instructed me to maintain good relations with?
Are you curious too??
So, I searched high and low and found that generally,
kins are the ones whom I called family and relatives.
It could be ....
[are you ready for this!?]
-my parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandparents,grandparents' siblings, garndchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles and their children, aunts and their children, nieces and their children, nephews and their children, cousins and their children-
[from both of my parents' side]
WHOAA!!
Yup, you got it!
It's the whole gang reaching the north and south poles
and the east and west hemispheres!
Absolutely fantastics!
Don't you think?
When He sent me into this world,
with all-prepared and fully-experienced support group;
the members of which have all signed a 'contract' with Him
to always take care of me, lend me a hand, be concerned about me, be supportive towards me, be nice and kind-hearted to me, to love me, be helpful when I need them and have compassion for me.

Family are like fudge-mostly sweet with a few nuts
Funny, ehh? I absolutely love it for the first time I read it!
And out of curiousity, I had to ask myself-which one am I??
The Fudge or The Nuts?
Well..naturally, we would always think that we are the fudge, you agree?
All creamy and yummy!
No one would like to think that or perhaps, possibly, maybe and probably,
they could be the nuts of the family!
But you know something?
Despite of many things I don't know, this much I do know.
If we could do just that-
Be the better person. Be the one with bigger heart.
Allah has promised His support for us!
Yes, He did!
Could you imagine that my friends, having Allah in our team, rooting for us and supporting us all the way?
And because we might have to suffer a whole lot not being able to "bite back" the people who bit us, our beloved Prophet promised something incredible:
" Whoever would like to have his provision increased or his lifespan extended, let him uphold the ties of kinship. "
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
SubhanAllah! I am so excited! What a reward! What a prize!
For such simple acts of loving another human being called kin.
Don't you think so??
Whoever, my friends! Whoever! Do we belong to whoever? Of course, we do. Do they belong to whoever? Of course, they do!
So not only that maintaining ties of kinship would benefits us in this world, it would also benefits us in the Hereafter! How fabulous is that?
Extremely!
I promised myself one thing.
From this day onward, I must care for my kins, my 'wealth and life-span enhancer' and my 'hell repellent'.
I must be concerned about them and love them as they deserve and should be loved.
Wouldn't you want to do the same too??
Tell them that you love them.
Tell them that you are sorry.
Tell them that you forgive them.
Tell them that you miss them.
Tell them that it doesn't matter who was right and who was wrong anymore.
Do it. Do it for you. Do it for them. And do it for our Creator.
Do it now while their hands are still warm and have not turned blue.
Do it now before the clocks strikes midnight.
Do it now before they leave this world.
Do it now before you exhale your last breath.
Do it now before the final curtain in your life closes.
Do it now before it's too late.
Do it now because you know it is the right thing to do.
And do it now because you know that if you don't,
you would leak the tears of guilt forever....
